Family trust transfers dominate Marion's August property records

Marion recorded 11 property deeds between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only three disclosed a sale price, ranging from $330 to $925 with a median of $400. The period's highest disclosed sale was 62 Front St. at $925, sold by MHT Jackson Marion LLC to Karen L. Manning and Nancy Lyle Howland. Six of the 11 filings showed sellers and buyers sharing a surname or identical name, consistent with trust or estate transfers rather than open-market activity, and two other properties, on Stoney Run Lane and Allen Street, went to what appears to be the same LLC buyer. With most transactions lacking a disclosed price, the data offers limited insight into broader market conditions this period.
